As the name suggests, Dungar Quality Oats is all about providing a top quality oat product. These oats are the most high spec, dust free oats. We never stockpile product and only process and bag to order to ensure our customers receive the freshest quality horse oats.
Scientifically tested for a healthier horse
We also routinely test our oats for Aspergillus and other pathogens to guarantee the product is always a fresh and safe feed and is of a consistently best possible standard. By conducting such scientific tests, owners and trainers can be confident that feeding Dungar Quality Oats will lead to a healthier horse which will perform to their best ability through the season.
A palatable, nutritious & safe feed
It is a well-known fact that oats are a very palatable feed and the best nutrient-balanced cereal grain for horses. They are a high fibre content grain containing a good source of calories. They also contain a higher oil content than other cereals and have a protein content of 10-12%. As oats are so easily digestible for horses, they are considered a very ‘safe’ feed. Research has proven that oats carry a lower risk of colic when compared to other grains due to the type of starch they contain.

When only the
Best Oats
will do…
Dungar Quality Oats provide the best quality horse oats to the Irish equine industry. Based on the borders of North Tipperary and Offaly, the company was formed in 1990 by owner Tadhg O’Leary who started growing and producing oats specifically for racing yards in his area. As a bloodstock owner himself, Tadhg knows the high quality required by horse owners when feeding their stock.
Dungar Quality Oats has a dedicated on-site processing facility and nationwide delivery service which guarantees customers that the product is clean, fresh and the very best quality animal feed.
